In all fairness I am sore this morning, but not from boating... from the 2 km hike carrying my boat that is!

You are exactly correct with the level of the Seymour Jeff and yes that is a low stress pool drop run at that level. I think 3 on the rock (1.0m on the top gauge) is considered to be a medium level and anything a bit higher would be a pretty full on run!

Hate to see that run at 3.0 on the upper gauge. Then again, could be fun.

No, you don't want to see 3 on the upper gauge... I'm talking about 3 on the rock (1.0 on the upper gauge) would be medium... in case there is confusion.

5 on the rock is about 1.45m on the upper gauge... it has been run, but not much higher if so.

I figured Chinese Downhill on the Kan was enough carnage. Clearly it can be far more of a gong show. Don't take my word for it though, watch the flick. The camera angle gives a poor perception of the drop. The tongue of the big hole is 3-4m vertical from the peak to the trough.
