I was at the last meeting and "Strongly Urge" Rec Paddlers to come by and get a say at meetings! At the last meeting there was some talk of making an on ramp heading in the Northwest direction coming out of the Widow Maker Parking Lot. And it seemed that the rafting companies were really trying to make this a concern for all vehicles coming out of the lot. I can only imagine what dollars and cents this add's up to for there industry when they get an extra trip in on the river because of time restraints. Further more there seemed to be a large individual from a rafting operation that continuously slagged Rec Paddlers for littering at the take out for the lower section of the Kananaskis River and stated that Rec Paddlers were taking out on his leased land. And also said some paddlers got into some trouble or what not below the bridge and dam area at lower flows and that some sort of rescue had to be performed and it was no place for paddlers at low flows.

So make your voices heard or get slammed by these individuals from certain money profiting operations that have nothing to do with our Canadian Heritage!!!

????? Was I at the same meeting as you Brad? From my experience the raft operators are all very rec paddler friendly.

Hi Jeff,

You did show up to the last ten minutes of the meeting to make your special cameo appearance. Did you know about the river modifactions upstream of Widow Maker?
Cheers,
Brad
